Satan hates women; they bring life into the world and are made in the image of God. He abuses so many of us, lately I have come to the realization that there is a deep lie Christian women who have compromised in their life carry around with them. Satan’s lie to broken women – “No one will want you anymore – you have compromised to much. Your sin is to great. Your beauty no longer exists. You have turned from God your one true love and He too has turned from you.”

Perhaps this lie resides so deep within us because women are so often forsaken ourselves; by fathers, by boyfriends, fiancés, husbands, even each other. To taste living water and walk away to carve cisterns for ourselves only leaves us empty and thirsting for something more.

So we search – having forsaken the Lord my love, and believing he too does not Love me (does not want my best and is not willing to allow me to experience that love) – I search for the closest second to God I can find, a man.

Men are similar to God in their power and strength, the two model characteristics women desire. We long to be protected, to be cared for, and loved. These desires manifest themselves differently depending on the woman. No matter who you are or what you have experienced in life I believe we desire, no need, to have these feelings met.

The problem is that no man is designed to ever meet these needs FULLY. Don’t be mislead, precious and dearly loved bride, you deserve a man who strives to provide you with what you most desire. BUT, the LORD your God, your Father and friend desires to be your husband, fiancé, boyfriend and most importantly passionate lover.

He is real and He shows up! Come and see that the Lord is good. Beloved, even now return! Return to Him because he is waiting for you. Weep and cry between the porch and alter, who knows he may relent to turn and show favor. And He does. He has through Christ.

Jesus truly stands in the gap for us. Now listen, not just for the glorious gift of forgiveness and salvation but also in order to RESTORE our relationship with Himself. The Lord no longer resides away from his people, in a temple behind a curtain. He now resides within us, living in and loving all of who we are. Christ has restored His ability to be in a relationship with us, his ability to LOVE us. He no longer sees, even remembers our sins. We are made whole, we are white as snow, and we are loved through the blood of Jesus Christ. We now actually deserve the love of God.

Revelation 2:4 – “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent…”

I encourage you, and all women who carry this lie around in one fashion or another to try, to the best of their ability, to remember from where they have fallen. To remember who they are, NOT WHERE, but who they STILL are to the Lord.

God is not a pathetic God waiting for us to turn back to him, hoping we will chose him. He is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14). He fights for us, he fights for you now, as a jealous lover would. Life, is the way that it is, because HE is fighting for you. He will steal you back at all costs. There is no rest or security in anyone or anything other than the Lord our God.

The glorious thing about being his Bride is that he will be faithful to us no matter what. He will not lose you, you are unable to be lost. So as the prophet Joel petitions over Israel because of her unfaithfulness so I petition you, “Even now” declares the Lord, “Return…”

He waits, he was waiting for me for years. He was waiting for my heart. He is big enough. HE IS REAL. Challenge him to show up and he does. Challenge him to come and taste better then any man, feeling, dollar amount, job, object, lifestyle, everything and he will prove himself to you. He will remind you. He does not mind reminding us. He does not mind loving us. He is not revengeful or angry, we do not have to “pay”. Those are characteristics of Satan. Our God is Love, and he is good. He is nothing else to his Bride, and you, sweet precious beautiful friend – are his bride. You can never, or will be able to escape that.
