The Daily Caller is reporting that all may not be as it seems with the viral, $20 million GoFundMe that has been doing the rounds to get funding for the southern border wall.

Brian Kolfage, a triple amputee Air Force veteran has said that he will not receive any money from “We Build the Wall Inc,” his new non-profit organization because the bylaws prevent him from doing so. This was then directly contradicted by Mr. Kolfage’s lawyer who said that the bylaws are subject to changes until they are finalized, which would be within two business days. One week later, they’re still not finalized.

Mr. Kolfage also tweeted that his team had put together a “white paper” that provides detail on his plan to construct a wall along “the entire southern border.” However that White Paper is still to be released.

On January 11 GoFundMe advised that all contributions to Mr. Kolfage’s fundraiser would be returned to donors on April 10 unless they chose to transfer their contributions to his new Florida-based non-profit. On Wednesday, Mr. Kolfage told One America News that he transferred “approximately $11 million” from his GoFundMe campaign into his non-profit.

Daniel Borochoff, the president and founder of Charity Watch told the DCNF “‘People should give right to the organization that they want to support. Why are they [We Build The Wall, Inc.] directing money to some other entity?’ Borochoff said. ‘This money could get stolen or misdirected to be used for another purpose.’”
